Rebecca Nagy is a Certified Crime and Intelligence Analyst working with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) for the last five years. Since 2011, she has been assigned fulltime to the Maritime Coordination Center (MCC) as the coordinator overseeing the centers development and continuing operations. The MCC covers five counties and is based on the Coast Guard Sectors called ReComs, with a mission to coordinate over 70 law enforcement agencies focusing on National Security threat to the California coastline. Rebecca’s unique ability to work with a variety of individuals from various Law Enforcement departments and federal agencies made her the ideal individual for this position. She is able to communicate and develop creative solutions in establishing and continuing the mission of the MCC. To her the mission is simple; we must all work together in order to counter the threat to California and the United States at large. Rebecca has worked on long-term Narcotics investigations as the lead LAPD analyst for two Homeland Security Investigations. Rebecca holds a MA in Contemporary War and Peace Studies emphasis on global narcotics trafficking and Genocide and a BA in International Relations and Anthropology. In her off time Rebecca loves to cook, spend time with friends and unwind by watching movies however bad they may be.
